"Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra Day 2 - quiet morning so we went walking through Old Town Bratislava again. Went up in a tower and had great views including the castle up on the hill. Wandered on through the streets, got a good look at the "UFO" circular restaurant above the bridge over the Danube. Found the Post Office and bought a few postcards. Saw the "blue church", the American Embassy, and other sites around. Got on the bus at 3 pm to go visit the red stone castle about an hour out of town, then on to a great Welcome Dinner at an old mill which is now a winery. Dinner in a small barn, with festive music and Libor's sister was in the band! Between dinner and dessert we had a wine tasting - really good wines! A fabulous time was had by all. And we were especially happy because Sue had arrived safely yesterday morning!"
