"Day 5 -Salzburg! A long (4+ hours) bus ride yesterday but Salzburg is beautiful. Just before Salzburg we stopped for lunch at Mondsee, a beautiful town on a beautiful lake. Much of The Sound of Music was filmed there, including the wedding. We had lunch there, then on to Salzburg. We toured Mozart's birth house and museum, visited the cathedral, and many went up the funicular to the castle grounds for a great view of the city. We had a drink while they went up. There were pretty big crowds everywhere so we were happy to sit for awhile on the square in front of Mozart's home. Then we had a wonderful dinner in a restaurant that had a a room just big enough for our group. Scott and I had the "original" Wiener schnitzel and our table shared a Sacher torte. It was yummy!! Then a long bus ride back, it was 1:00 by the time we got here!"
