"We are now in Prague. Tomorrow night we have a concert here and go back to Bratislava the next day. We walked to the old town while we waited for our rooms to be ready."

"Day 8! We left at about 8 and headed to Prague. We stopped en route to pick up Max and Liam Ondras and their cousin Oliver who will be with us in Prague. This city still has so much magic!! When we arrived Libor led us the few blocks to the main square in Old Town, then to the Charles Bridge and back to the hotel. We are right on the river a few blocks (2 bridges) away from the Charles. After checking in and unpacking a bit, Scott and I went back to the old town and had a trdelnik, a tasty pastry cooked over charcoal, wrapped around a big stick, so it's like a hollow tube of yumminess. (Is that a word??). Sorry I forgot to take a picture, will try to get one today. Some went to a lovely organ concert. We joined the throngs at the astronomical clock, then walked across the Charles Bridge. Then we met some of our group for dinner at a restaurant we would never have found but that was recommended by Jan and John Smith from Petoskey. Old wooden tables with benches in a rustic basement, incredible good and we may have been the only foreigners there! Then back across the Charles Bridge with our friends and back to the hotel. Lots of good musicians on the bridge and fewer people later in the evening! Magical indeed."
